The screen can also fold up when not in use thus leaving you with more working space and head room when it’s not in use.
The AM/FM radio works well and the same goes for the built in DVD player. Installation is pretty simple with a template provided that makes the marking out the location accurately for mounting holes a breeze.

You may be surprised to see such a short write up on what’s good about it. My take is that you are more interested to find out what’s not so good about the Venturer KLV3915 and see if you can live with it if your decision is to get one for your own kitchen.

• Feedback about picture quality has not been that great. However, let me ask you if you are expecting some high definition good quality picture from an under cabinet kitchen tv? If your answer is yes, then I seriously think you are looking at the wrong category. Also, the screen can be tad shiny so if it’s angled such that it catches a light or glare from somewhere, it could interfere with your viewing.

• The magnetic feature to hold the screen up when stowed is reportedly not strong enough for the task. However for those having problems, it wasn’t reported if the Venturer KLV3915 has been installed with enough room behind it for the cords that comes with the unit. If the cords are in the way, the magnets will definitely not be able to hold up the screen. So please take note of this if you happen to get a unit.

• Quality of the screen feels kind of flimsy so folding it up and down with caution is advised or try not fold it unnecessarily could be a good practice so as not to give it unnecessary stress. Don’t think it would be a good idea to let children do this task too because of its reported flimsiness.

• The remote IR sensor is located at the front of the unit (console) regardless if the screen is swung to the right or left so you actually have to be pointing at the console to make sure your remote is working because some assume it’s located on the screen and wonder why their remote isn’t working.

• There were feedback that the response is a slow switching between TV, DVD and radio functions but realistically speaking, I don’t think you are going to do much function and channel surfing on this unit so I don’t think it’s really going to affect you. The other thing to look out for is that it uses the same code as some newer LG TVs so please take note if you happen to have a LG TV nearby.

It has the largest screen at this time, 15.6″ for an under cabinet TV. Frankly speaking a TV of that size is already worth the price without the other features. FM and AM radios work nicely with clear channels coming in. The dvd player also worked fine with a clear picture.

There is also an audio/video input jack for video games, vcrs or other av sources. You can plug in video games into the unit too. That way, you can have your kids or grandchildren in your kitchen with you watching over them while doing your cooking with them in sight.

Installation is easy and the screen swivels easily to where you want it to be. It comes with a swivel screen and you can turn it to whatever position you want and can be folded up when not in use and it doesn’t take up any space in that position.

There were feedback that the response is a slow switching between DVD and radio functions but realistically speaking, how often do you actually switch between these 2 functions? I don’t think it’s going to bother you that much.

The Coby KTFDVD1560 comes with a remote control with magnet at the back. It isn’t the strongest magnet out there and will not stick to your fridge if you throw at it but will hold if you carefully place it on and will not slide down.

Some complained about not so good picture quality if viewing from an angle and better clarity on digital compared to standard tv channels. Same goes for the sound quality. To be fair this is a relatively cheap and compact under the cabinet tv meant for use in the kitchen with dvd/cd and radio combo. It’s not a TV that you put in your sitting room or bedroom with higher resolution, bigger screen and all the works!

The good thing is the cutting blade doesn’t touch the food so there isn’t a need to clean up the mess unlike others and you also don’t have to deal with corroding blades. It does a good job quietly, leaving no sharp edges after cutting and no metal shavings. Opened cans can actually serve as stationery holders for pens, pencils rulers and such. Just a thought for putting cans to other usage rather than simply disposing them.

It comes with a chrome-metal handle not some cheap easily breakable plastic handle. You can easily press the handle down with little effort and it starts cutting, silently. Even those with bad arthritis in the hands have reported that it’s the easiest can opener they have ever used. And there isn’t a need to hold the can at the bottom too.

You will need to hold the lever down to work the can opener until it is done opening which you will be able to tell by listening out for the slight change in motor pitch. Pros of the EZ Off Jar opener

You can either do it with one hand or holding the jar with both hands.

The teeth are designed in such a way that you cannot accidentally tighten the lid of the jar instead of opening it because turning the jar in the wrong direction will cause it to slip.

Cons of the EZ Off Jar opener

The teeth are sharp are sharp and could cut you if you are careless but that has yet to be reported so far. It can and will damage some lids that it opens leaving marks, dents and jagged edges but that is only usually the case on the tightest lids.

This is part of the product’s design and cannot really be faulted for it. You have to accept it or opt for a different  product altogether.
